SPICES

Let’s be real here – spices can make or break your cooking. They’re like magic dust for your food, cranking up the flavor and making your kitchen smell amazing. But here’s the thing: it’s stupidly easy to go overboard or skimp on them. Now, when we’re talking about setting up an RV kitchen, we’ve got to face facts. Space is tight, and we need to get creative with storage. It’s not just about cramming stuff in; it’s about being smart with what we keep and how we keep it. I’ve got some ideas for different setups, and spices to have on hand so let’s cut to the chase and figure out what works best for your situation.

These are what I usually keep on hand as some suggestions, but bring your favorites for the way you cook!

SPICE BLENDS

Spice blends are a game-changer when it comes to saving space and still having seasonings on hand. Why clutter up your kitchen with a million individual spices when you can grab a blend that does the job? With tons of options out there now, so it’s honestly a no-brainer to go this route. If you want my honest opinion, here are blends I’d recommend.

  • Beef – Steak – Hamburger – Roast (I like the Blackstone brand)
  • BBQ (Blackstone, Danny O’s,
  • Chicken
  • Fish (Old Bay with the fish spice below always works)
  • Pork

I have chosen this product that fits in a drawer I just turned the block to hold spices in place. There are many choices for containing them. I like this size as I can have a lot of spices and they stay fresh. The container also will hold spices that are already filled very easily, so that is differently an option!
