Lovell Canyon, NV is a dispersed camping area located in Mountain Springs between Las Vegas and Pahrump off the 160 HWY. Take Hwy 160 from Las Vegas toward Pahrump. The highway ascends over a “hump” (the Potosi Mountain area). There’s a saying around here, “Over the hump to Pahrump”. Well, you’ve just traveled over that hump. Around 4-5 miles from the point where the highway begins to descend toward Pahrump there is a well-marked sign on the right for Lovell Canyon Road.

Do be aware of all the disbursed camping rules! There aren’t any trash cans, water or dump station in the area. Pack in – Pack out! Depending on time of year camping, be aware of fire limitations and when it is allowed. There is a 14 day stay here as there is in most dispersed camping areas.
Overall I’d say the cellular service was more than adequate no problem with Verizon, T-Mobil and AT&T. Had local channels just from the antenna if you are interested.
One word of caution, that I did run into a mouse situation and definitely had one take up housing inside and in my outside storage. So be aware!!!
